Where Art Meets Action

Beyond the rehearsal space, I am deeply committed to philanthropy—a commitment that grew alongside my early love for directing. My journey began in middle school, when my vocal group performed annually at CureFest in Washington, D.C. Singing for families affected by childhood cancer was one of the first moments I understood how the arts can uplift, unite, and bring visibility to those who need it most. That experience came at the same time I was discovering directing, and together they shaped my belief that storytelling and service can—and should—inform one another.

A few years later, I participated in the Students of the Year campaign to raise funds for Blood Cancer United (formerly the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society). That experience strengthened my commitment to community-centered work and showed me how young people can lead meaningful change when given the opportunity.

Since then, I have made it a priority to pair the productions I direct with charitable causes deserving of awareness or financial support. Integrating philanthropy into my artistic practice allows the impact of each production to extend beyond the stage.

Through these efforts, I have contributed to raising over $70,000 for organizations including Blood Cancer United, No Kid Hungry, Loudoun Hunger, The Nicholas Center, Open Door Arts Massachusetts, and The Compassionate Friends. This work continues to guide my perspective as an artist, reminding me that storytelling resonates most deeply when it serves a greater purpose.
